Ginger Tea

During the cold months or seasonal change, I always keep the ginger tea around the house. Ginger has been used for thousands of years as a natural treatment fro colds and flu around Asia. It warms the body and this can also promote healthy sweating which is often helpful during the early stage of colds and flus. Ginger contains anti-inflammatory compounds called  gingerols. It helps to reduce the arthritic pain if it is consumes regularly. Ginger is also great for digestion and motion sickness.

 

How to make ginger tea

 

4-6 thin slices raw ginger

1 1/2-2 cups water

Juice from 1/4 lemon, or to taste

1-2 tbsp honey or agave nectar, or to taste
